When life gives you Lemons... Make a Steak!

Hey, Have you ever had a bad day? Like just a bad day. On your way to work(or school) you spill Coffee on your pants, you forgot about the meeting or the big test, and when you get off you go to your car and you have a flat or you out of gas! Those days suck. Well, things happen for a reason. You can either take the bad things in a good way and channel it to make something good, or you can take them in a bad way and just sulk in the negativity.
Well, Recently for me I have been hanging around some new theatre people. I love them because not only are they a break from my regular drama at BPCC, They Inspire me! Isn't that amazing? Yesterday, we had lunch/dinner thing and these two girl were talking and their conversation inspired me to write a one act play, Which I'm working on write now. Today, I was talking to one of them about how they inspired me and telling her about this one act play inspired me for an Idea for a full Two Act play! It's wonderful.
I actually have story about a friend of mine. She auditioned for a show that would travel, a paying show. She knew she was the better actress at the audition. She thought in her head that it was her spot for sure! Whenever she found out the cast list, it wasn't her; she did not get the part. Now, as an actor or actress you can take not getting a role into two ways: one, make yourself a better actor; or two, why didn't they choose me? am I not good enough? I guess this isn't meant for me. NOW, I would suggest going with number one.
So think about it, when life throws you a curve ball instead of striking out, knock it out of the park. If something bad happens to you or your family channel it into something creative. Something fresh, something amazing!
So my lesson for today is: Pick to stand strong when the going gets tough and watch yourself grow or Choose to get knocked on the ground when life hits you hard and watch yourself fall.

Love you all,
Bradley

  1. Do not be so hard on the fall, Bradley.
It is within the fall that we often see the greatest enlightenment.
Don't fear the fall or avoid it!

  2. The only time that a fall benefits anyone is if through it somebody becomes learns how not to.

Follow through with that inspiration. It's sure to inspire others.

  3. I disagree Jones...

In a fall, we should learn to relinquish control. That we can't avoid the inevitable, but we do not merely have to accept it. We learn to embrace the ground, finding new and interesting ways to stand up again. And finally, from a fall we are reminded that the ground will always be there to catch you, even if know one else will. The fall is not the issue, it is resisting and not thinking during the fall that causes the damage.
